It’s Official: “The Tree of Life” to premiere at Cannes

Terrence Malick’s “The Tree of Life” will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May. The film was first mentioned as a possibility for last year’s festival, so this isn’t entirely unexpected. It isn’t known yet if it will play in or out of competition, though my guess would that it’ll be out of competition. It hits theaters on May 27.
