Idris Elba should obviously be the next James Bond

I don’t even understand why this is a question. Is this actually a question? Are there people out there who can think of someone better to take over for Daniel Craig when he tires of being James Bond? (Don’t say Bandersnatch Cummerbund. He’d be great, clearly, but he’d be great as a quirky, unusual James Bond. The Broccoli family has shown they are willing to take risks and shake up their franchise, but there are certain things they aren’t going to change, and one of them is having the main character be a smooth Connery/Brosnan/Craig-type actor.)

Anyway, Naomie Harris (who is in “Skyfall,” the new Bond movie) says that Idris Elba met with one of the Broccolis and could potentially play Bond at some point. OBVIOUSLY. Obviously Elba could and should and will play Bond. I’ve said this before, but he is plainly perfect for the role. Yes, I recognize that he would be the first person to play James Bond while also not being white. And I recognize that there are probably people, somewhere, who care about this. Some fans also complained about Craig because he is blonde. Who cares? Some people are stupid and choose to complain about stupid things.

(I realize I’ve been promoting this for a while, but that is because it is so duh. Imagine what happens if they wind up casting Cousin Matthew from “Downton Abbey” or something? What kind of world would that even be?)
