Toure wrote a thoughtful essay about Michael Vick and race for ESPN the Magazine. This is a topic worthy of serious consideration, owing to Vick’s fame, the position he plays and many other factors. It being ESPN the Magazine, they opted to title the story “What if Michael Vick Were White?” Toure was not a fan. They also paired the story with a photo of White Michael Vick, for some unimaginable reason. Toure didn’t care much for that, either. After an uproar, the photo was removed, then reinserted, and we are all left wondering what their art department would have done if the story was called “What if Michael Vick were a copy of Carpenter’s Gothic by William Gaddis that you borrowed from your friend and never returned?”
If you’d like to read an article about athletes and their bowel movements, I’ve got good news.
